What does one do when they find themselves in a freelancers version of economic hell?   They decide to share the pursuit of the American pie with everyone else while continuing to work for their kids,  living as freelancers in a recession, and throwing our arms around community.

In return, we’re gonna put your name on a plate.  We’re gonna put a piece of American pie on that plate.  We’re gonna serve your named plate of pie to someone on the streets, someone in need, or someone who could just use some niceness in their world.  Pay it forward.

Video blogs will follow the insanity of this idea, the ‘tell them what else they get BNF’ marketing, and the heart stringy purpose of using this time to focus on the continuation of our personal goal of working for our kids,  in this case Austin’s photography.  And he’s basking in the fact that with all ma and pa’s extra (slow) time, some serious work is getting done to see his business become even more than it was before.  Maybe he’ll be the next rock star photographer and we can just move in with him and be his stage parents.  After all, this was our idea.

Yeah, we’re gonna have a lot of work to make this happen.  Pie making parties, logistics of serving them on the streets , finding and interviewing the folks who eat them, and uploading the videos of said events…we’re holding on by the seat of our pants for this one.  Surely, by now you know us well enough to know bnf projects are literally the most fun you can have with your clothes on.   So, buy, provide, support, and be a part of us.  Nudity not included.

We’ll gather the photography orders, package them, and mail them out to you.  We anticipate that it will take about four weeks, giving us a chance to round up the funds and supplies needed to do that.  Your package will consist of a signed, matted, and bagged print of the Dinner Jacket, a printout of the story behind Dinner Jacket and the BareNaked American Pie project tucked into the back of the print.  And a personal thank you note from us.
